On Tuesday, 30th March, we as the Erasmus+ students got one of the rare opportunities to see each other at school and not via Internet. Our teachers wanted to surprise us by distributing some prizes for the Mobility Event in which we created online activities over three days with the other countries’ participating students and we gathered that afternoon in our schoolyard.
The last huge project of our group was the Mobility Event and during it some of the participants showed themselves as especially active and interested. They earned titles like “The new Picasso” in the Art Club, “Geocacher of the Century” logically while geocaching and “Outstanding magic boxer” as the greatest teacher for origami butterflies. Also, some people of our German team turned themselves out as winners here, accompanied by further students of all countries who were kept in mind exceptionally positive by our teachers. Each of these nominated ones received a gift about two cinema tickets for the “Gloria Gloriette” here in Heidelberg. Now there is to hope that we can redeem our tickets within the term of the following year. However, not only these participants were honoured: we all got certificates, which confirm our participation in the Mobility Event and last but not least hoodies with the Erasmus+ logo printed on them. Even the rather hot weather on this day could not reduce the pleasure about this long-ago mentioned surprise. The last prize given out that day was for those who wrote an article about the event, and it furthermore fitted the temperatures as it was an ice-cream gift certificate. Getting free ice cream and cinema tickets at the EU’s cost is something not everybody is able to say about themselves. Mr. Englert, the school’s principal, joined us and his and our applause supplemented this prize-giving as the finish of our quite exciting Mobility Event. |
